At Josephian Schools, we welcome children of all abilities with open hearts and open minds. Our Special Education Unit offers a safe and nurturing space where learners are gently guided to grow—academically, socially, and emotionally—at their own pace, in their own way.

Through individualized support plans and therapies, we help children develop essential skills like communication, emotional expression, independence, and friendship. At Josephian Schools, we welcome children of all abilities with open hearts and open minds. Our Special Education Unit offers a safe and nurturing space where learners are gently guided to grow—academically, socially, and emotionally—at their own pace, in their own way.

Through individualized support plans and therapies, we help children develop essential skills like communication, emotional expression, independence, and friendship. Behind every lesson is a team of caring professionals—special educators, therapists, and behavioral specialists—who work hand in hand to ensure each child’s journey is meaningful.

Communication & Expression
Children are supported in finding their voice—whether through speech, gestures, visual aids, or technology. We nurture every child’s ability to express needs, emotions, and ideas with confidence.
Social & Emotional Development
Through group play, guided routines, and therapeutic support, learners build relationships, manage emotions, and develop empathy and cooperation in a safe, understanding environment.
Functional Academics
Literacy, numeracy, and environmental knowledge are explored through hands-on, multisensory activities—tailored to each child’s level and aimed at building real-life understanding.
Life Skills & Independence
We guide learners in mastering essential everyday tasks—from hygiene and dressing to organizing school materials—empowering them to grow in autonomy and responsibility.
Creative Play & Motor Skills
Music, art, dance, and movement are woven into learning to support creativity, fine and gross motor development, and joyful exploration of the world around them.

Daily Life at School

A Balanced and Enriching Routine for Every Learner

Students in the Special Education Unit take part in the daily life of the school—joining assemblies, sharing spaces, and engaging in inclusive activities. A structured routine provides consistency and comfort, while fostering a sense of belonging and growth alongside their peers.

Admission Process

Come and Visit our School

We’re delighted that you're considering Josephian for your child. Our admissions process is simple, warm, and designed to help families feel informed and supported from the very beginning.

1. Arrange a Visit

We invite families to visit our school to experience firsthand our joyful learning environment, meet our educators, and explore our classrooms. A school tour can be arranged at your convenience.

2. Student Interview

After your visit, we’ll arrange a brief, friendly meeting with your child to understand their interests and comfort level. For Primary and above, an academic assessment will also be conducted. A non-refundable fee of 100,000 TZS applies.

3. Enrollment

Once the interview is complete and both family and school feel it's a good fit, we guide you through a smooth enrollment process. We’ll provide the full list of required documents and ensure all your questions are answered.
