The Josephian Schools swimming pool was bursting with excitement during our annual Swimming Gala, last Friday August 15th! From the youngest swimmers in K2 up to our Form 1 students, everyone brought energy, courage, and plenty of school spirit.
The competition was divided into age and grade levels, with races in both freestyle and backstroke, plus thrilling mixed relays. Boys and girls competed separately, while classmates cheered loudly for their house teams—the Giraffes, Rhinos, Elephants, and Buffalos. The atmosphere was electric, with chants echoing across the pool as each swimmer gave their very best.
Adding even more fun, some of our teachers, staff members, and even our photographer and accountant jumped into the water for a light-hearted race, cheered on by delighted students. A panel of school judges, joined by external referees, ensured the event was both fair and professional.
In the end, it was the Elephants who claimed victory, swimming their way to the top of the scoreboard and earning bragging rights until next year’s gala.
It was a day of laughter, teamwork, and determination—proving once again that at Josephian Schools, competition is as much about spirit and joy as it is about winning.
